What is Matrix?

Build new collagen,1,2 resurface your skin, and treat fine lines and wrinkles with the Matrix™ device, a minimally invasive aesthetic approach designed to improve overall skin appearance and texture.

The Matrix system uses the power of radiofrequency (RF) energy and RF microneedling to take treatments to the next level.
Featuring the Sublime™, Sublative™ RF, and the all-new Matrix Pro™ treatments. The Matrix device is a customized approach to the treatment of varying skin types and conditions.**

RF treatments deliver energy to deep layers of the skin stimulating collagen production, and promoting younger, fuller-looking skin, while microneedling treatments use very fine, sterile needles to prompt a natural, collagen-stimulating healing process that corrects flaws and improves skin quality.

Together, the combination of both treatment types allows deep penetration of RF energy delivery during treatment, prompting the body’s natural healing response and the stimulation of collagen.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during treatments?

Treatments take place in your practitioner’s office. Your practitioner will use one of the 3 Profound Matrix applicators to deliver pulses of energy onto targeted areas of the skin. Depending on the treatment you and your practitioner decide is best for you, you will receive a non-invasive to minimally invasive treatment that will compare in sensation to a sunburn.

Can the Matrix system treat darker skin tones?

Yes! This allows the Matrix system to cater to a diverse range of skin types, depending on the skin condition and applicator used. Check with your local provider about which treatment is right for you.3,*

How long does a treatment with the Matrix system take?

The Matrix system can cater to patients looking for quick red-carpet treatments (Sublimeapplicator) that take as little as 30 minutes, to more advanced treatments that take about an hour depending on the area being treated.

Are treatments with the Matrix system painful?

These 3 skin fundamentals are important in keeping our skin strong, elastic, and flexible. When their levels drop, facial wrinkles may appear.

Depending on the applicator used, Matrix treatments range from non-invasive to minimally invasive. Some patients may feel slight discomfort. Topical numbing creams can be applied to ease discomfort. Be sure to talk this over with your practitioner prior to treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Most require up to 3 treatments but may vary based on treatment indication, goals of care, and patient-specific variables. Some patients will see a marked improvement after as little as 1 treatment.

How soon can I return to my normal daily activities after treatment?

Depending on the applicator and treatment settings used, patients can typically return to their normal activities within 24 hours after treatment. Your practitioner will discuss your individual care plan and recovery during your initial consultation.

Are there side effects?

Although the Profound Matrix system was designed with patient experience in mind, side effects can occur. All patients should be individually assessed by the treating provider on the basis of medical history, indication suitability, and contraindications.

Are these treatments covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic procedures. Consult your insurance carrier for conclusive information.
